Exam Hell

The week before and the week of exams are what I affectionately deem "Exam Hell," because, no matter what you'd like to believe, the week before exams is just as stressful as the week of exams.  Papers abound, homework flows from professors like water from a facet.  It's absolutely crazy.  The week before exams, I had three papers due (Composition Tutoring, Lit & the Moral Imagination, and Roman History), two quizzes in French (one oral!), and my theology exam (but, shhh! no one's supposed to know that Fr. Fisher gave it to us early).  The papers were the most stressful and difficult things to do.  My Lit & the Moral paper took what seemed like forever, but was the best paper that I wrote.  I even took it to the Writing Center (more about the Writing Center next year) because I was having so much trouble with it.
By the time of exams, I was almost looking forward to them as a break from the hectic mess I had endured the week before.  However, that's such a foolish thought, because, during exams, I had to pack my entire life into what would eventually fit into one car load.  (My carpet and Ashley's fit in the one car load...amazing.)  I really cheated- Dad came up twice before that and took a little bit of stuff home each time.  It was still a mess trying to clean, pack, and study at the same time.  Somehow, I got through the five exams (not counting the theology exam) that I had that week, even managing to take in Styuka, the Ice Cream Social, Toolbox, the sock party, and a bridal shower during the week or so before exams.  How exhausting!
The cleaning certainly was a big pain in the ass. Thursday, the 6th, I had a hell of time stripping goo from the walls and the floor (don't ask).  Thursday from 11 AM until 7 PM, I cleaned, packed, and basically busted my ass trying to get the dorm room into perfect condition before Ashley and I moved out.  Ashley helped, but, it still seemed like there was more than enough work for her, my two ex-roommates, and myself combined to get that room in order.  Ashley and I eventually got it all done, she moved out, and I cleaned the rest and moved out myself.
Now I'm at home, and there will be no more college updates for the summer, since, I'm not at college (well, technically, I'm taking a summer course, but, that's just for four days and not really all that eventually).  Everyone's scattered all over the place- Heather's in Russia, the Katies are here in Cincinnati working at RESTOC, Lauren's in Florida (lucky gal, lives there), Amy and Stephanie are in their respective homes, I think...So...
Happy summer, everyone!  See you next fall!

Addendum:
Well, well, well, guess who made the Dean's List yet again?  Yep, that's right.  Here's the breakdown of Susie's grades:
Math: B
French: B
Composition Tutoring: A
Literature and the Moral Imagination: A
Theological Foundations: A
Roman History: A
For a grade total of a 3.67! Yay!
