Saturday- Risk Taking with Skip Prosser, Small Groups (again)
-We ran around in our small groups, listened to a couple of guest speakers, and got even more tired.
Sunday- Milford Retreat Center- Swing dancing, Small Groups  -Oh, so much fun.  My Manresa leaders caught frogs, we learned to swing dance, and we had more fun in our small groups.
  Monday- free day!  Rest!
    -Finally, sleep!

Tuesday, August 25
In the afternoon, my shower backed up, causing water to cascade into my room, soaking my carpet, and causing a huge mess.  We had the Physical Plant up in my room for probably an hour sucking water up, sending snakes down the drain, and cleaning up.  Everyone who came up to help was so sweet and made my roommate, my suite mates, and I feel better about the whole thing.  They even reassured as that it wasn't our fault- hair had built up over a long period of time and, when it got to the point where no more water could drain, it just sent water up through the first available drain- ours.
Probably the worst thing about the experience was that Father LaRocca, the Jesuit priest in residence in my hall, came upstairs screaming and yelling because his room had flooded too (it was below ours and water had seeped through our floor into his ceiling).  Later, when the Physical Plant people had left, he came back and cussed and screamed at me about it, implying that it was my fault.  I had to have a talk with my RA, Lauren, and the Hall Director, Kari, about the whole situation.  Kari talked to Father LaRocca and he said he'd apologize, but, he never has.  Since then I've heard he's said things about me lying about him to people and he made a whole sermon about the situation, never once mentioning that our room flooded or anything- he just talked about his room and made everyone who didn't know the situation feel sorry for him.
Such a great role model, this Father LaRocca.
