Connecting to Flipside!

You have two choices on routes to get to FlipsideMUSE via the World Wide Web browser you are using. Below are the restrictions.

Using MUDslide 1.4:

This Application REQUIRES Your browser to support JAVA. This means that you MUST have either Netscape Navigator (version 3.0 or higher) or Internet Explorer (version 4.0 or higher) and running the 32 bit version under Windows 9x or NT 4.0. Windows 3.1 cannot be used with HotMudslide, because it lacks 32-bit support.

Your choices are based on your screen's resolution:

MUDslide 15x80 (For 640x480 users)
MUDslide 24x80 (for 800x600 or better!)

NOTE: If you connect using MUDslide, you can't see ansi colors. Do NOT set yourself ansi, this will only mess up your screen. If you want to be able to see ansi colors, use telnet.

Using Telnet:

If you have a properly configured telnet client, and either lack a Java-enabled browser, or prefer to use telnet, you have two options:

You can go directly to Flipside, or
Telnet to tf.tinymuse.org, and log in as 'tf' to use Flipside's public Tinyfugue client.

If you don't have a telnet client, and would like to get one, we recommend CRT or SecureCRT from VanDyke Technologies, Inc.. At the time of writing, CRT cost $30, and SecureCRT $99, with discounts offered for educational and large business users.

This page and it's associations have been tested Netscape Communicator 4.5 and Internet Explorer 4.01 SP1.
